took some time off to queue for free tickets to see NBA superstar Kobe Bryant at the Indoor stadium...wanted to procastinate til about 9am then slowly make my way to the Nike flagship store at Wisma Atria...luckily i did not...reached there at about 8:30am...(it's mad, i know) and there are like 300 odd people queing already!!

Only managed to get the tickets at about 11:30am!! Almost 4 hours of standing including standing in the MRT throughout!!

A day at the Zoo!!!

Brought the whole famil y to the Zoo last sunday....boy, you need training to go visit the zoo!!

The sun was hot, the area is BIG!! everyone was sweating like it was drizzling...anyway it did drizzle abit...spent about 5 hours there but still did not manage to cover everything....guess we have to go back there again....after some training...some pictures here...for more pics, go to my facebook...iz quite a chore loading pictures here... :P i'm just lazy

Fell in love with this watch when i saw it on a magazine....

The best thing is that when it is dark, (i.e at night) you can still read the tim efrom the watch as the numbers and the hands will illuminate like any normal watch!! Amazing!! :)

Air France 447 Crash....Bermuda Triangle?

Sad news that all of the 228 passengers of Air France flight 447 had perished.

But the first thing that came to my mind when i heard the news that an aeroplane had disappeared when it flew over teh north atlantic ocean was that could the bermuda triangle phenomenon strike again?

Then went into the details of the crash...discovered that the location of the last communications of the plane was actually quite a distance away from the triangle....don't think the plane could have reached the triangle "which resulted in the crash"....

Really sad sad news....lives and families lost, just like that....

On a lighter side of things....flying is still the safest way to travel! (sorry if this offended anyone)

Been too busy to update...still working on my Devastator...anyway...

Heard over the radio that a woman actually threw away her mother's matress and replaced with a new one. After her mum knew, she went ballistic coz all of her USD 1 million life savings were inside the matress!!
OMG, one million US dollars!! Tried to recover the matress but after looking for it at 3 dumping grounds, no news of it yet....my guess is probably someone found the money and kept the "matress"....
Poor mother....
hopefully this story will teach all the busybodies a lesson....even if you are tidying up the house, please consult others before throwing away something which is not yours...you may think that that thing is useless or a white elephant....but who knows, you may end up throw away your inheritance!!

Devastator update: Bonecrusher!!!

Finally completed Bonecrusher after a month!!

But still not happy with the paint coat, uneven...patches...maybe i should really consider air brushing...gotta get that airbursh out of the cobwebs...hehehe

Also, encountered what i had feared...PAINT WEAR!! at all the balls joints....HELP!!!!

Another case of white tiger attack

This time round, the incident happened in New Zealand where one of the endangered cats attacked and mauled a zoo keeper to death while he was cleaning the tiger's enclosure. This was a wildlife park....
apparently, the tiger refused to let go of the zookeeper despite efforts from a second zookeeper and the park personnel.....the tiger was eventually put down by the zoo.....
Now is this right or wrong? you put a "bait" into the cage and the animal attacks the "bait". As a result, the man died...but the cat was probably acting out of its instinct...
*sigh* just too bad another life lost....we should be carefully u know, animals are animals, they'll never think like humans....unlike the incident in singapore, where the zookeeper jumped in and provoked the tigers...teh NZ zookeeper really did not deserve it..he was only doing his job....

Custom Devastator Update 23 May 09

Now into the paint phase....really didn't this would be that difficult..

even more difficult than the building stage!!

Have to be aware of the wear wear at the joints and rotating parts.

must sand down these parts to prevent paint wear.

Must make sure they are in uniform color...meaning i can't just do each constructicon one by one...the paint is custom mixed, everytime i mix, it'll be different and the problem is i did not record down the "concoction"!!!! SHUCKS!!!

Another SAF regular gone....

A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman was killed during a parachute freefall training session in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on Wednesday.He was part of a formation jump...when the formation broke off at 3500 feet to deploy their parachutes, 1WO Tan, 53, spiralled downwards to the ground.

All SAF freefall training has been suspended.

Are we to lax with the training safety? Or is this another isolated incident? whatever it is, there seems to be more and more deaths in the Army...and there isn't a war which makes it worse....deaths from wars and fights, understandable...but from training?

It really worries me coz my son would be joining the army eventually (though iz way too early now, he's only 1 yr old...lol). By then, how would the army training evolve?

People are dropping like flies from runs, "tortured" to death (water dunking incident), and now from free fall...this guy's supposed to be a veteran!!!

I suppose the saying goes...."If it's your time, its yours...there no escaping it...."

My condolences to the family....wounds take time to heal....but time is never enough...
